Inner Resilience
Fire. Transformation. Warmth. Light. Metabolism. Sun. Hope.
In the yogic energy anatomy system of the chakras, the fire element resides in the solar plexus, Manipura Chakra. This part of our being associates with power, empowerment, motivation, confidence, discipline, and a sense of inner strength. Fire ignites will to action. Fire metabolizes and transforms. Our inner fire ignites a spark of inspiration, lit up by our sense of purpose and drive to contribute our gifts to the world.
Through this time of Covid 19, the uncertainty of the future can cause anxiety, worry, and mental and emotional challenges. When we tune into the element of fire, on a subconscious level, we are reminded that we are resilient, we can transmute anxiety and worry, just as fire transmutes matter to heat and light. The Sun, our orb of fire that our planet spins around in perfect balance and gravitational dance, brings life, light, and warmth. Our own inner sun, like the promise of spring after a long winter, brings hope. My intention for this week’s practices are for you to source some inner warmth, light, upliftment, empowerment, inner strength and hope.

- Consider what lights you up. What is your personal dharma, what brings a sense of core purpose to your life? What structures and discipline can you utilize to support this, day to day?
- What is currently draining your personal power? How can you recharge and ignite inspiration?
- As fire metabolises and transforms, transmuting matter to light and heat. How can we, in this time of uncertainty, transmute our fear and anxiety, into hope and positive action?
